Conscious Parenting Series Ep 1 - Kickoff with Sama Katharo

The Conscious Parenting Series was hosted by Caleb and originally launched on the Bitcoin Consciousness podcast. These conversations explore what it means to parent from a higher consciousness. Here is the original episode description:

Rauri and Caleb go deep into parenting and higher consciousness with topics ranging from:

  • Social media - is it good, bad, and how do we ‘regulate’ its use? --How the perception of love changes for us as we grow up
  • The importance of letting kids be themselves
  • Parental attachment to our kids
  • Failure - neutrality and protections we build
  • Learning to be disciplined versus following your true self --The importance of community and asking for help from others --Vulnerability and fear
  • Our evolving understanding of sex
  • Ancestral patterns and DNA
  • The importance of our own growth as parents
  • Kids’ ability to mirror and set off our triggers

Rauri’s greatest lesson so far as a parent: “[It’s] allowing them to be who they are, and patience [with that]. Because we have in our mind these ideals of what we want our children to be. But I think that’s just a filter that we’ve brought into ourselves from our parents, and think we need to just remove those visions of what we want our kids to be and [instead] let them be. I think that’s what they’re teaching me at the moment. Otherwise you’re just fighting against them.”
